Sad Opening!!!

People have been asking me "are you feeling sad lately?" Well actually yes... But not that kind of sad!

Here sad stands for slide'a'day and It's my new project.

My girlfriend loves to collect old photos; negatives; family albuns ... everything photo related with more than 50 years old and full of dust :) actually I do support Her in this hobby. Collecting old memorabilia Is also colecting bits&pieces of history. And It's fun as hell ... :)

While looking for old photos I've recently discovered that mounted-slides can be as much fun as everything else ... In fact they are a unique collectible item... still don't believe me?

- their are cheap;
- you can still find them relativly easily In ebay; estate-sales or fleamarkets;
- normally they have information ex-owner related which is great and fun;
- They are normally sold in lots;
- Normally there's not a preview avaiable in the lots ... surprise!!! surprise!!!

Way before the digital (r)evolution, everyday people like you and me used to save their family photos in slide (for those who may not be aware you may think of "slide" as the 50's Compact-Flash type of card). This blog Is a collection about them... their families... and their lifes.

Well... this blog It's also about their funky greased hair-styles; white socks and vintage clothes.... ok ok maybe also about their mustangs... convertible Bel'airs and super 88 sedan's.

But it's above all a blog about photography... hope you enjoy!
